Dear Kraut Lovers,
We hope this message finds you well. Recently we have been getting reports that some of our sauerkraut jars seem to be extremely hard to open. We want to express our sincere apologies to those of you who have encountered challenges in opening our sauerkraut jars. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
We’re actively looking into the matter to understand what might be causing these difficulties and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it. In the meantime, we’d like to offer some tips to help you with the jar opening process:
-
Gentle Tap and Turn: Give the lid a gentle tap on a flat surface to loosen the seal before attempting to open it again.
-
The Rubber Glove Grip: Enhance your grip strength by using rubber gloves, making it easier to twist and loosen the lid.
-
Hot Water Bath: Submerge the jar lid in hot water briefly to expand it, facilitating the opening mechanism.
We want to assure you that our production process remains consistent—we continue to pack and seal each jar by hand. However, we have some hypotheses about what might be causing the issues:
-
Excessive Tightening: With our strong team members on board, there’s a possibility of lids being tightened a bit too much in our efforts to prevent leaks.
-
Defective Lids: It’s conceivable that we received a batch of lids with potential defects, affecting their threading.
-
Melted Lids: Our use of a heat gun for tamper-evident shrink bands may have inadvertently applied too much heat to the lids, causing alterations.
If you’re still facing challenges, please reach out to us at Tanya@culturedtraditions.com. We are committed to providing assistance, whether it involves sharing more insights, sending a replacement jar, or offering reimbursement.
Once again, our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Your satisfaction with our product is of the utmost importance to us, and we’re dedicated to ensuring you always have a great experience.
Sincerely,
Cultured Traditions Team
