We will deliver your order to your door, ring the door bell and send a picture of it to the phone number on your account. Please refrigerate as soon as possible!

SHIPPING POLICY

We ship our ferments unrefrigerated. Please refrigerate them upon arrival!

We have chosen to do so to keep the shipping costs down. Our items are bulky and heavy, and using cold packing would dramatically increase shipping costs.

They will not spoil during shipment – fermented foods are naturally very well preserved with the help of beneficial microorganisms they are abundant in. The naturally occurring probiotics won’t be harmed either – if anything at all they will arrive more happy and active!

It is however possible that you may notice some leakage. There is nothing to worry about, it is completely normal. It happens because as the product warms up to room temperature the ‘bugs’ start becoming more active and produce more CO2 which causes expansion of the content and potential leakage. Fermentation forces are so strong that sometimes jars may leak even under refrigeration, it just means your bugs are happy 🙂

However it is our goal to make sure that

– lid is closed as tight as possible

– product is kept well refrigerated prior to shipping

– product is packed well to ensure it stays cold for as long as possible

– shipping happens early in the week to avoid the product spending weekend on the road
